Frequently Asked
Questions
Trusted Answers to Your Mental Health Questions
How do I know if my child needs a speech and language therapist?
Every child develops at their own pace. However, if your child has difficulty speaking, understanding language, pronouncing words, or communicating with others, an assessment can help identify the right support. Our care team will also help determine whether speech and language therapy is the most appropriate service.
What happens during the first appointment?
First, Ms. Nesreen will assess your child’s speech, language, and communication skills. Then, she’ll discuss the results with you and recommend a personalised therapy plan based on your child’s needs.
Can parents be involved in therapy?
Yes. In fact, family involvement is an important part of Ms. Nesreen’s approach. She provides practical guidance and activities that parents can use at home to reinforce progress between sessions.
Does Ms. Nesreen support children with autism (ASD)?
Yes. In addition to speech and language therapy, she supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them develop communication, social interaction, and everyday language skills.
Are sessions play-based?
Yes. Because children learn best when they feel comfortable and engaged, Ms. Nesreen uses play, storytelling, games, and creative activities to encourage communication and learning.
Can therapy be provided online?
Depending on your child’s age and needs, some sessions may be suitable online. Our team will help you decide whether online or in-person therapy is the best option.
